For my fellow bloggers in London, or close by, I’m excited that my dear friend’s grandson has the part of Billy Elliot. Big Wow.
Over 700 boys tried out, and he was the only American who made it. He is all ballet (so good), and had to learn tap dance. He is loving it!
There are four boys who play Billy Elliot. At each performance one is Billy, one is back stage ready to go if there is a snafu, one is on call, and one has the day off.
Of course meeting Elton John was the big highlight.

My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.

I’m sure he will do great, and really enjoy the experience. Going to London to see a show is too far for us now, but with tourist season in full swing, I am sure the theatre will be very busy.

that is so cool! that is such a great role. i’ve seen the film but never the stage show, which i hear is amazing. congrats to spencer and his family and those who are so happy for him, like you. p.s. i love how the rotation works with the 4 of them.
