At last, there was a winter sunset on the drive home from work at my favorite Sunset Farm intersection. That means the days are getting longer. At school we can now watch sunsets on the playground at the end of the day. Sunsets are beautiful; their colors are magical, and just what we need to see at the end of a long day. Looking at the sky with children is opening a window, because their wonder reminds us to stop and look. The world is beautiful.

My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.

What a wonderful place to view the sunset. It looks like it was a glorious one.
It is the best place, Deborah. The photo on my phone is actually more vibrant, particularly around the trunk of the tree. Not sure why it doesn’t appear the same way on WP. Still, it’s a beautiful sunset.
I love the name of that farm too.
The missing vibrancy could be the way WP takes the image in and displays it.

Yes, sometimes I do. They look flat, but not on my monitor, or in my photo files, or Photoshop. 🤷♀️

I start out each day listening to Satchmo singing it. And for years I have said I wanted that song played over the PA as people walk out of my funeral.

the full moon is tomorrow night Jennie and you can thank the moon for our seasons.
Billions of years ago, the moon collided with Earth. This not only captured the moon in it’s orbit but also knocked our axis off centre. This off centre axis created our seasons.
So on those cold cold nights you can shake your fist at the moon and howl!

What a beautiful sunset! We haven’t had a sunset all year thus far, primarily because we haven’t see much of the sun. It comes out once a week for a few hours, then gets covered by dreary clouds long before the time sunset might otherwise take place. Ah well … when it does happen, we’ll appreciate it more!
