Halloween was over, and a thick fog settled in.
This was a fog never seen. Never.
The fog called me.
I wanted to run, be with the fog,
get swallowed.
I am a child at heart.
I have the eyes to see, and the soul to feel.
That’s why I am a teacher.

My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.

We’ve had so much fog lately—so much so that two of our children’s authors could not get here, even after two days.
It can be beautiful, but pea soup fog is dangerous. I read about the two authors. So sad!

Jennie, some of our best fishing in the bay waters around the Cape was during early foggy mornings. The plug could be heard popping along the water’s surface. If we were lucky, the next sound was a striper whacking at the lure and the fight was on. The quiet foggy air added to the mysterious excitement. It still does.

What a wonderful photo. There is a definite magic to fog. I too had an experience where I wanted to be swallowed by it. I was in Dartmoor, and had it not been for my friend, I may have never returned…

That looks like a fog we’d see here in the summer time, not at this time of year. In any case, I have always felt it takes a very special person to be a teacher, and I think wanting to run into that fog is certainly a desire a special person would have.🙂
