One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers,
but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings.
The curriculum is so much necessary raw material,
but warmth is a vital element
for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.

Hugs to you, Teagan!
Maya AngelouāNothing can dim the light that shines from within.
She is my favorite. I have her āPeople will forget whatā¦. but will never forget how you made them feelā quotation right in front of me, on a plaque. I see it all the time- thank goodness. So do people who come into the house. This week the chimney cleaners came. As weāre going over the paperwork, he saw the plaque and told me what a great thing that is for someone to say. The guy was moved. See, Maya Angelou still lives on. I told him I was a preschool teacher and love reading books to children. He was excited to tell me his mom read to him. I asked him what book he remembered the most. He didnāt hesitate to say āThe Giving Treeā by Shel Silverstein.
Well, we had a big moment. Thank you, Maya Angelou.
The “people will never forget how you made them feel” is in my top ten quotes of all-time. I believe that with all my heart.
Hear, hear!
Perfect!
