Look what arrived today!

Amanda in Holland: Missing in Action

Just the book I’ve been wanting to read.

And, what a perfect day to curl up with a new book.
It’s snowing to beat the band outside.

I call that a win-win.

I have been teaching preschool for over thirty-five years. This is my passion. I believe that children have a voice, and that is the catalyst to enhance or even change the learning experience. Emergent curriculum opens young minds. It's the little things that happen in the classroom that are most important and exciting. That's what I write about. I was a live guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show. I am highlighted in the seventh edition of Jim Trelease's million-copy bestselling book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" because of my reading to children. My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.

      You don’t need anyone to read these books to. 🙂 I loved her book in Alberta, Canada. It’s cowboys and adventure. Holland is about visiting Anne Frank’s house and finding out about her uncle who never returned from the war- right up my alley with history. And their are the beautiful tulips.

    Weather given by God, for not missing Amandas adventures. 😉 Today i have heard about the snow desaster in the Northeast of NY. Seems now i have better located you, Jennie! 🙂 Now reading aloud is a special pleasure. Michael

      It was a whopper of a storm! We got at least 16” of snow here. Some places got 2 feet. Yes, reading aloud is a special pleasure. Thank you, Michael!
