About Jennie
I have been teaching preschool for over forty years. This is my passion. I believe that children have a voice, and that is the catalyst to enhance or even change the learning experience. Emergent curriculum opens young minds. It's the little things that happen in the classroom that are most important and exciting. That's what I write about.
I was a live guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show. I am highlighted in the seventh edition of Jim Trelease's million-copy bestselling book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" because of my reading to children. My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.
When I was a kid we had to go to my mom and dad every day and ask if there was anything we could do for them, so little but so big!
You are right! Many thanks.
I’ve seen this video several times and each time it moves me to tears. It’s the butterfly affect. We may never know how our kindness affect the world but we can be assured that they do. Every little thing makes a difference. My greatest joy in life has been that my grown children are remarkably kind. It’s what I value most in a person. Thanks for sharing it again.
You are welcome! Your words are just perfect; I couldn’t have said it better myself!
Just beautiful. It reinforces my own practice of showing kindness. I will try my hardest to remember these lessons every day. Thank you and goodnight.
You are welcome!
Your featuring such a warm and fuzzy reminder of the “power” of kindness really touched me. Thanks for re-blogging this, Jennie. β€
My pleasure!
Bravo on this Jennie. It is now on http://www.ChildrenAreOurFutureNow.com
Wonderful, Paulette. It looks fabulous. I love the whole design. I’m going to have to start calling you ‘butterfly’ π You selected some nice posts of mine, too. Many, many thanks!
I am going to try an buy a new lap top with a huge monitor so I can truly see what all my sites look like! Everything has been done on my Galaxy Note 4 phablet. I have an Asus Ee PC Flare 2 pound computer, but even it doesn’t show the whole screen!
You’re welcome
