I have been teaching preschool for over forty years. This is my passion. I believe that children have a voice, and that is the catalyst to enhance or even change the learning experience. Emergent curriculum opens young minds. It's the little things that happen in the classroom that are most important and exciting. That's what I write about. I was a live guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show. I am highlighted in the seventh edition of Jim Trelease's million-copy bestselling book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" because of my reading to children. My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.

    Well, Jennie, I didn’t think it would happen but here is something where we are on opposite sides. As an early fan of the Boston Patriots when the team began in the AFL, you’d think I’d be rooting for the New England Patriots. However, as a card carrying member of Bills ‘Mafia’, I just cannot bring myself to root for the Pats, the long time nemesis of my Buffalo Bills. I’m already looking forward to next season and will likely fall asleep before tonight’s game ends. Enjoy the game tonight with and think of me crying in my beer because the Bills failed to deliver, again. I’ll send you a story about how I imagined endings should have been in my mind. By the way, that’s a great picture of you and Gloria.

      I get it, Steve. You are not alone with being a Bills fan here in New England. That first game with Buffalo this season was huge for the Patriots. They’re a young team with a great coach, and they will do well in the coming years. I was shocked that the Bills coach was fired. Glad you liked the photo with Gloria!

        Jennie, I don’t think anyone would have beaten Seattle last night. They have a terrific defense. Pats defense played well, too, for the most part. I agree, the Pats do have an awesome young QB. Expect to see good battles with the Bills in coming season. Josh Allen is highly thought of in western NY, much the way your QB is. I have a theory that if Josh can win a SB very soon, then he’ll retire and go into acting. His wife is an actress.

        Now, we turn our attention to ice hockey (Buffalo Sabres), golf and baseball (Red Sox, of course).

    Gloria is ready to cheer on your team. I just told a blogger from Seattle that I hope his team wins. So now I have to hope that it is a tie. Can you have a draw in American Football, with no outright winner? (I don’t know the rules)
