Poetic Justice.

I have been teaching preschool for over forty years. This is my passion. I believe that children have a voice, and that is the catalyst to enhance or even change the learning experience. Emergent curriculum opens young minds. It's the little things that happen in the classroom that are most important and exciting. That's what I write about. I was a live guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show. I am highlighted in the seventh edition of Jim Trelease's million-copy bestselling book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" because of my reading to children. My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.

    Summer for teachers – great time to get caught up on reading! Glad to see your hubby loves it too. I like a good mystery – very cool that you know the authors and they are commenting here! I’ll have a peek at the book, I just finished a book and hadn’t decided what to read next.

    If I hadn’t just read the note you sent me, your title would have scared me (at least for a second) until I scrolled down and saw Steve immersed in the story.

    I made it home today after a long drive. 111 degrees in Weaverville, one of the towns I passed through today. Whew, that’s hot! Good old Humboldt County is in the low 60s. I’ll write you back in the next few days.
