Look what arrived today!
John Howell’s fabulous trilogy.
Hubby has demanded ‘first dibs’.

Dear John,
Thank you for writing great stories, as books are the result of stories that need to be told – because your heart and mind told you so. This trilogy is a testament to just that. May your passion for writing and telling stories continue, so we the readers can get lost in your books.
Sincerely,
Jennie
About Jennie
I have been teaching preschool for over forty years. This is my passion. I believe that children have a voice, and that is the catalyst to enhance or even change the learning experience. Emergent curriculum opens young minds. It's the little things that happen in the classroom that are most important and exciting. That's what I write about.
I was a live guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show. I am highlighted in the seventh edition of Jim Trelease's million-copy bestselling book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" because of my reading to children. My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.
Hubby will love them, as will you. They look great as a set!
Thanks, Darlene!
😊
Thank you, Darlene.😊
I hope you both enjoy them, Jennie. This is a trilogy I am not familiar with, so off to Goodreads to check it out.
I’m so glad, as the storyline is really good! Best to you, Carla.
You are the best Jennie.
That’s so nice, John. Thank you!
I just tell the truth. 😊
🥰
😊
Thank you, Carla. 😀
That’s a great set, Jennie. I hope you and hubby enjoy them.
I’m sure we will! Best to you, Deborah.
😊
Thank you, Deborah.
You’re welcome, John!
Hubby (and you) will enjoy these, Jennie.
I have no doubt!
😊
Thank you, Dan
Enjoy!
Will do!
😊
Thank you, Ritu.
Well done to John. I am sure you will both enjoy his books, Jennie.
Best wishes, Pete.
I’m sure we will, Pete. I hope this puts a smile on John’s face. Best to you.
It put a big smile on my face. I just got my computer issues straightened out and there this post was. I’m overwhelmed. 😀
Awww…I’m so glad. 🥰
😊
Thank you , Pete. 😀
He’s great, isn’t he Jennie?!! Thank you for being on the book tour!
Yes, he certainly is! Actually, I’m not on the book tour.
Even kinder, Jennie!
Oh, I like that! How did you know that’s what I’d hoped for?
What a surprise, Jennie.
😀
Big time. 😀
Jennie joined the tour w.ithout me knowing. What a surprise, GP
I’m glad this was a surprise!
Totally blew me to smithereens
Oh John, I hope realize that makes my day as much as it makes yours. I mean that in the best of ways. You should have seen me last night making Hubby take a gazillion photos. Writing the letter just poured out. Smithereens is my new favorite word!
You are a treasure, Jennie. The children under your care are very lucky. I can imagine you make them feel as good asI felt every day.
That is so kind, John. Thank you! Honestly, making children feel good every is what builds their self worth. That’s what I do.
It is very clear that that’s what you do.😀
🥰
Jennie knows who and what are important.
I like that GP. You are so right. 😀
how wonderful, and hope you both enjoy them!
I’m sure we will! Thanks, Beth.
😊
Thank you, Beth. I hope they do too.
John’s a great guy. Enjoy the trilogy.
Yes, he is! I know we’ll enjoy the read, especially Hubby.
I will look forward to hubby’s opinion. Thanks, Jennie.
He will definitely let you know. He’s reading a Clive Cussler book now, and he’ll be chomping at the bit to read yours next.
I like Clive’s book too.
They are good. Hubby copied the opening page in the book that lists all of Cussler’s books. Then, when I go to the library I have a check-off list of books for him to read. Obsessive reader? Yes!
Great idea.
Yes!
Thank you, Frank. You are a nice guy too.
That is the problem with John’s latest book, innit, Jennie! You can’t just read it. Then there’s no way you don’t go back and read the prequels. Sigh. I speak from experience.
Devious devil aren’t I? Thanks, Jacqui.
Exactly!
A new author to me, Jennie. He sure runs a gamut of books.
I started with thrillers and then moved into these mixed genre books, Don. So I thgink your comment is right on. Thank you. 😊
He does, Don. He’s a terrific writer and a great guy on top of that. Gee, sounds like you, doesn’t it?
Ah, quit trying to make me smile. It’s against my nature.
Haha! I speak the truth. 😀
Thank you, Jennie! I just started following John and can’t wait to dig into his books. You’re offering fabulous encouragement! 🥰
Thank you, Victoria. Jennie took me totally by surprise. I have been limping along today dealing with computer issues and then she went and made my whole day. I’m very grateful.
Love it! And I hope your technology issues are over! 🥰
Yes. I have a ten-year-old Mac that went black screen on me. I had already bought a new one since the old one could not be upgraded, but I was not prepared for the old one to go away. I had to hustle and get the new one up and running.
Yikes! Glad you’re back in business but that was a curve ball, for sure! 🥰
It was. Thanks. 😊
🙂
😀
I’m so glad you’re following John! He is one of my favorite writers/authors/bloggers. Such a great guy!
You are a wonderful connector! 🥰❤️🥰
Thank you!
You and Hubby and in for three excellent reads! John is such an imaginative writer.
Thank you for the lovely compliment, Liz. I do hope they enjoy them.
You’re welcome, John. I’m sure they will.
😊
Yes he is! I have no doubt we will. We have his other wonderful books.
😊
I’ve read each book, in order, and am almost finished with the last one. Fascinating journey with angels who fight the devil for their souls – and those of others. John gives us readers such a unique and creative perspective of the afterlife in page-turning fiction. (hmm, I think I’ll use this for my review of the last book!) 🙂
Thank you, Pamela. You describe the books very well. Can I steal your words for a tweet? I’m so glad you are enjoying Detour. I hope the ending is satisfying to you. 😀
Absolutely. I finished the book last night. LOVED the ending. Quite thought-provoking, and a philosophy I agree with.
I have had several discussions with folks who have difficulty thinking evil is within us and not some external figment. Thank you, Pamela.
I’ve written reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. Thanks for writing your books, John, and giving us all ‘food’ for thought.
And thank you for the lovely reviews, Pamela.
Ooo…I think you found the perfect words for your review
😊
Oh my goodness, Jennie. I’m running late today and have a ton of computer issues and what made the whole thing much better? Your post made all the tension leave my body. I can’t tell you how surprised I am with your beautiful post. Thank you so much and I certainly hope these do not disappoint. A big hug to you. 😀
Oh John, this makes my day! I cannot tell you how happy I am that you were surprised, and also enjoyed this post. I was SO excited to get the books at last, and my letter to you just, well, flowed. Mega hugs!
You letter is divine and I hope the stories live up to what you wrote. Thanks again. I don’t remember when I have had a better surprise. ❤️
I am beaming big smiles! 😀
Not as big as mine. 😀
Awww…🥰
😊
😄
💚💚💚
I’ve read the first two and have the third waiting on my Kindle. Though each book could be read as a standalone, you will become more familiar with the characters by reading each of them.
Yes! Steve is most excited to get ‘lost’ in the books. He’ll read them in order. Best to you, Pete.
😊
You are very right, Pete. I recommend folks start with the first but also know any one of them could be a stand alone. Thanks for the comment.
I’ve read the third one and I loved it. The first two are in my future. It is a great suggestion.
Thank you.
😊
Thanks Thomas. 😀
Nice
Thank you.
Thank you. 😊
You and your hubby have some great reading ahead. I’ve read the first two books in the series and enjoyed them. 🙂
Yes, we do! Thanks for the comment, Dave.
😊
Thanks for your endorsement, Dave.😊
How lovely, Jennie. John must be thrilled! What a great photo!
Thanks so much, Diana. Yes, he is!
Yes I am.
🙂
I am thrilled, Diana. This was a huge surprise and a welcome one at that. Thanks for the comment.
🙂
😀
Looking interesting set. Enjoy 😊

🧡
While we only have read the latest book of this trilogy, we enjoyed it sooo much. John is a gifted writer and one of the finest human specimens we know.
I echo you comment! He is, indeed. I’ve been following John’s blog for a long time – lucky me. Thank you for your lovely comment.
