Thank you, Michael!
Sorry for the delay, Jennie! But “Gloria” plopped up in my reader. She looks beautiful, and i love her ringle sox. Lol Best wishes, Michael
She really does look beautiful. I’m so glad you like her socks. She will tell the children all about them…and her hat, and that black is her favorite color. Everyone loves Gloria!
Ready for another year of love and care.
Absolutely!
Gloria’s back! Hurray!!
😀
They are going to love her! Enjoy your weekend with Gloria, Jennie. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
She is quite happy. Thursday will be the big day at school. Best to you, Pete.
She looks years younger. Where is that spa?
Haha! Groton Cleaners- they always fuss over her. 🙂
Ha ha ha.
I knew you would love this!
Is she a seasonal friend? An October visitor I’m guessing? Love it!
Hi John, no she isn’t seasonal. She’s diversity/empathy/kindness and becomes very popular every year. Gloria is not a witch, she just happens to like black, and she’s old and not pretty. That’s the sort of person children would shy away from, so Gloria comes to the classroom as a very shy person who used to be at another school where they called her a ‘witch’. She naturally draws children in to care for her. Over the years Gloria has been on family vacations, graduations, the Red Sox parade in Boston, mountain climbing, Christmas… and has been a cow and a dinosaur when trick-or-treating. She’s one of the best things I have done in teaching.
A great lesson to be sure…
Yes, and thank you!
The look on her face. She looks like she’s ready to get on with things, NOW!
She is! Thursday is the big day.
There’s nothing like a good spa day 😁
Yes! 🙂
How fun for her and the class!
Yes, indeed! 😀
It looks like Gloria is ready to step into the school spotlight. I am sure the children will be as excited to see her as she obviously is to see them.🙂
You are right. She will be very shy, and the children will reach out to her. She is the ‘poster child’ of understanding and acceptance. She has been to high school graduations, vacations, the Red Sox parade, and more. Everyone loves Gloria.
She looks refreshed! I hope it lasts, Gloria!
She does, but the ‘well loved’ look will soon appear. 🙂
She looks rested and refreshed, Jennie, all ready for school.
She is! Thank you, Diana.
Ah, the Spa – refreshed and renewed. I get first hugging rights!
🙂
I wish! 🙂
It sounds like she is ready to love the new year.
I think she is.
I’d love to go to her spa!
She ‘spends the summer in Maine’ and then goes to the spa (dry cleaners.) They love Gloria, and always treat her the same way I do. They understand she is real. ❤️
We all need a little tune-up once in a while.
Haha! Yes, especially Gloria 🙂
This is splendid, Jennie. Hugs on the wing.
Thanks, Teagan!
As gorgeous and glorious as ever. I’d love to hear about that spa. 🙂
She is, Marlene! 🙂 Groton Cleaners is her ‘spa’, and they love her. Every summer when I take her in, there are loud yells of “Gloria!”
That tickles me too pieces! 🙂
😀
What a wonderful connection for each class to prior classes!
It is, Jacqui. Thank you!
Gloria is looking spiffy. The kids will love her.
Thanks, Darlene!
Bravo!
Thanks, Robbie!
Who doesn’t need a little pampering on occasion? She looks refreshed. You rock, Gloria!
Aw I am excited to see what your new students think of Gloria and see their love grow for her 🙂
I feel the same way every year!
