Beating the Heat

Who doesn’t want to jump in the pool with all their clothes on!

Be brave, live like a child.Β  I promise you it is wonderful.

About Jennie

I have been teaching preschool for over thirty-five years. This is my passion. I believe that children have a voice, and that is the catalyst to enhance or even change the learning experience. Emergent curriculum opens young minds. It's the little things that happen in the classroom that are most important and exciting. That's what I write about. I was a live guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show. I am highlighted in the seventh edition of Jim Trelease's million-copy bestselling book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" because of my reading to children. My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.

  1. My immediate thought was it sure would be nice to jump in a pool free from the encumbrance of ANY clothing. (But not in someone else’s pool, of course.)

We should all be kids for a few minutes each day. Show everyone we still know how to have fun, regardless of age.

I agree. After doing yard work recently I jumped right in the lake in capris and t shirt. So fun and refreshing. Play is therapeutic.

It’ll be so hot in Boston today that you may want to clothes the pretend blinds and jump in β€˜sun naturel’. I see Liz already hinted at that.

  11. I haven’t done that in ages, Jennie. But today, I am very tempted to end that streak!

  12. Never had the urge. Jumping in with nothing on is more my speed. 😁

Let’s hope i will be able to stop the water then. Lol Best wishes, and enjoy swimming. The next winter is arriving for sure. xx Michael
