Who doesn’t want to jump in the pool with all their clothes on!
Be brave, live like a child. I promise you it is wonderful.
I have been teaching preschool for over thirty-five years. This is my passion. I believe that children have a voice, and that is the catalyst to enhance or even change the learning experience. Emergent curriculum opens young minds. It's the little things that happen in the classroom that are most important and exciting. That's what I write about.
I was a live guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show. I am highlighted in the seventh edition of Jim Trelease's million-copy bestselling book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" because of my reading to children. My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.
My immediate thought was it sure would be nice to jump in a pool free from the encumbrance of ANY clothing. (But not in someone else’s pool, of course.)
Yes! Although, wet clothes against skin keeps you cooler. Peeling them off later is another story. 😂
so glad you did!!
Ah…It is so exhilarating! And you do look so happy:)
We should all be kids for a few minutes each day. Show everyone we still know how to have fun, regardless of age.
I completely agree, Pete.
Yes, yes, yes!!! 😀
Never lose that joy, Jennie!
You are amazing!! This is why you will be young forever. Sending love and hugs.
It was so much fun, and it felt sooo good! Hugs to you, Darlene.
Great advice, Jennie! If I had a pool I might be sleeping in it. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Ooo… I could sleep on a raft in the water, but I’d be eaten by the night time mosquitos. 🙂
Ah yes, the biters! 🙂
And you know them all too well.
Jennie, you’re a hoot!! I wish we had more characters like you around!
That’s so nice, GP. Thanks!
I agree. After doing yard work recently I jumped right in the lake in capris and t shirt. So fun and refreshing. Play is therapeutic.
Wonderful! I’m glad you did it, too. Hooray for play!
It’ll be so hot in Boston today that you may want to clothes the pretend blinds and jump in ‘sun naturel’. I see Liz already hinted at that.
Haha! Yes, it’s gonna be a hot one!
I haven’t done that in ages, Jennie. But today, I am very tempted to end that streak!
Go for it! You will be happy you did.
Never had the urge. Jumping in with nothing on is more my speed. 😁
that pool looks quite tempting!
It is. Please came and jump in anytime!
I’m all in! For those of us without a pool handy, there’s always the hose with a spray nozzle to surprise and delight others…HA!
Nice to be joyous and happy
Yes, it is.
For sure 😊
Never lose your inner child.
LOVE it…. 🙂 Such a Happy Picture Jennie ❤
Thanks, Sue! 😀

Thank you, Michael! It is still SO hot here.
When it’s going on with this heat in summer, i think i will also dig a pool in our yard. 😉 I once read that there is supposed to be a spring under our house. Let’s hope i will be able to stop the water then. Lol Best wishes, and enjoy swimming. The next winter is arriving for sure. xx Michael
That sounds like a good plan, especially in this heat. Do not even think about winter yet. 😀
Good for you!
It was fun!
Yay for you Jennie. Showing us how it’s done! 🙂 ❤
Yes!! Mega thanks and hugs, Debby. 🥰
