Ah, July in the country–with ice cream! I’ve been known to have ice cream for dinner a time or two. 😀
Exactly! When the heatwave hits, it’s the best!
I used to love ice cream for dinner.
So good when the heatwave hits and there’s no AC. Our Starbucks has a ‘puppy cup’, whipped cream in a paper cup for your dog. Very popular.
Twiggy just looks at it. 😁
Twiggy!!
I know right?
🙂
😊
a farm and ice cream, the perfect combo
Yes, indeed!
I bet it tasted excellent too! Tasting the country is the best!
It was! And yes, it is!
Ice cream for dinner in a heat wave? Yes, please!
😀
Excellent choice for dinner.
Yes, indeed! 😀
Wow I thought I was the only one! I love doing this! I am among friends.
It’s the best! 😀
Nice shots 📷
Thank you.
Looks Wondeful, Jennie!
Thanks, Ritu. A great way to beat the heat.
Definitely!
Reblogged this on NEW BLOG HERE >> https:/BOOKS.ESLARN-NET.DE.
Thank you, Michael!
Wow, what a great way spending the spare time. 🙂 Well deserved Jennie, and i also like the trash bin, with this funny coloring. Best wishes, Michael
Thanks, Michael! The trash bins are painted like cows. 😀
That’s so simple as exciting. I also love the shape of the sheds. I think they are iconic for New England, right? xx Michael
I think many rural areas in America have similar barns.
Jennie, a lovely location and I bet the ice cream was delicious! I think ice cream dinners could be the next big thing!😀
Thank you, Annika! It is such a beautiful spot, and ice cream for dinner was a perfect way to beat the heat.
Yum!
Yes!
I love this. The last year of my father’s life was spent in a long-term care home, and he always ate his dessert first – with a twinkle in his eye.
I have never had ice cream for dinner. I might try that one day. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
It is a rare treat, and especially wonderful when we’re in a heatwave. The farm is picture perfect, too. I hope you ‘give it a go’ one day. Best to you, Pete.
Coooooool….. ❤
I am jealous! I can’t eat ice cream (lactose intolerant).
I wonder how lactose free ice cream tastes…
I tried it… once…
That says it all!
How much fun!
Yes!
Ice cream for dinner….I’m in!! How lovely and Americana it looks there! I would be thrilled to be there. Did I ever tell you I’m a huge Charles Wysocki fan? I love his Americana works.
Yes! It is a very Americana place. I love Wysocki puzzles!!
Yummy!!!! a great 👍 way to cool of in a sunny 🌞 weather.
Yes!

When I saw the first picture the only thing that ran through my head was… Old MacDonald had a Farm! And that brought back marvellous memories. There’s nothing better on a hot day than cold ice cream…
I’m glad it brought back good memories for you, Pam. The ice cream was terrific, and so is Old MacDonald.
The perfect food for a heat wave!
Hi Jim, good to hear from you! Yes, it was perfect. We’re still praying for some rain and a break in the heat.
Yes, this heat wave has been something. I hope your former student is getting excited about Villanova!
We should get some heat relief after the weekend. Yes, she is very excited and I’m sure she’ll look you up. Best to you, Jim.
The farm makes me remember back in the day. The ice cream makes me remember when I could eat and eat ice cream and not worry about putting on pounds. Of course working on the farm burned off a lot of calories.
I’m glad this brought you wonderful memories, Don. Yes, the days when we could et ice cream to our heart’s content…sigh!
Perfect. Is as cup of ice cream as expensive in Groton as it is in Brighton (NY)? Tonight, $4.50 for a small cup of black raspberry soft ice cream with almond sprinkles. But it was worth it. Last night, too. 😂🙀😎
This hot weather brings on the cravings!
Just as expensive! We’re praying for rain and a break in the heatwave.
HI Jennie, ice cream for dinner sounds like a great idea.
It was! Thanks, Robbie.
Yum!!!! We just recently took Charlotte to a local farm! She had sooo much fun with all the activities and seeing the animals 😛
That is such a treat for children. I’m glad for Charlotte. Did they have ice cream?
How lovely!! Great summer memories 🌞
Thank you.
Is that the one near the Eric Carle Museum? I think we went there and would like to go again.
No. This is in Lunenburg, MA. Cherry Hill Farm. The ice cream place close to the museum is right beside Atkins. Western MA has beautiful views, and great ice cream.
And why not? 🙂 xx
Yes!!!
It’s now raining where I’m at so a cup of ice cream like that and a good movie or novel would be perfect for me.
That does sound perfect.
I agree, ice cream for dinner or lunch is a wonderful treat. Looks yummy.
Yes! 😀
