Pink is exploding on the playground at school.
This beauty of a tree is beside the climber.
We climbed and looked in wonder.

The moonrise on the playground
above the tree’s early spring leaves
glowed above a perfect circle.
Children had gone home. I will show them tomorrow.

Driving home after a long day, there it was.
A perfect sunset.
Always be on the lookout for the presence of wonder.

About Jennie
I have been teaching preschool for over thirty-five years. This is my passion. I believe that children have a voice, and that is the catalyst to enhance or even change the learning experience. Emergent curriculum opens young minds. It's the little things that happen in the classroom that are most important and exciting. That's what I write about.
I was a live guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show. I am highlighted in the seventh edition of Jim Trelease's million-copy bestselling book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" because of my reading to children. My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.
And a lovely day it was . . .
Indeed!
Delightful day, and image Jennie.
Thank you.
What beautiful pictures, Jennie! We have a cherry blossom that every cohort of children love to see change over the year. 😍
It was just one of those days where every time I turned around colors were bursting. The tree is such a wonder for young children, I’m glad you have one too. 🌸
Nature’s wonders, Jennie 💛
Absolutely!
If we know where to look, we can indeed always find wonder.
Best wishes, Pete.
Well said, Pete!
Those that can “see” always find wonder. You can see! What a glorious day you had and saw. 😀
Well said, Deborah. And thank you!
Good job
How special. These are the days your heart sings!
Yes, indeed! Thank you, Darlene.
Hi Jennie, lovely pictures. You work a much longer day than our local nursery school teachers. Most of our nursery schools close at 12.30pm.
Thank you, Robbie. My goodness, full time care for children is in great demand. While some programs are half day, most are all day. Frankly, it’s hard for the youngest children to be in school all day, but we make it work for them.

Thank you.
Beautiful Jennie, if we look we can find beauty surrounding us in a million ways..
Thank you for picking out these treasures. 💕
I think E.B. White’s quote is one of my all time favorites. The full moon this month is beautiful but I have to find a good place to see it well with trees in the way.
It’s my favorite quote, too. My second favorite is Maya Angelou’s about how people will never forget how you made them feel. Yes, you have to be in a good spot to see the full moon. Best to you, Marlene.
Seems a MASTERPIECE in its category💫🌹⚘🌟🏵
Thank you.
You’re welcome 😊
Perfect!
It felt that way. Thank you, Norah. 🙂
