Moments #1

Never take for granted the little moments.

Look up.  See what is right there.  It won’t last, but the moment is there.  Now.
Nature in all her beauty and color is a living art show, waiting to be seen.

Look down.  Julia has paid a visit.

Be there, in the present.  Children may need your arms.
They trust you and love you.

Yes, moments.
Ah, there are more, with a deeper meaning.
#2 says it all.  Stay tuned.

About Jennie

I have been teaching preschool for over forty years. This is my passion. I believe that children have a voice, and that is the catalyst to enhance or even change the learning experience. Emergent curriculum opens young minds. It's the little things that happen in the classroom that are most important and exciting. That's what I write about. I was a live guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show. I am highlighted in the seventh edition of Jim Trelease's million-copy bestselling book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" because of my reading to children. My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.

You pool is so impressive, and I love the ‘floating in the air’ fish. Nice to see that Julia came back to hang out with you too.
    Best wishes, Pete.

Thanks, Pete. We call it our vacation home. The fish floating in the air- one is a windsock, and two are suspended by wires in a small pole. Julia let me stroke her back with my finger.

It’s all in the moments isn’t it? On a different note are you being overrun with rabbits? We seem to be as do all of our friends.

  18. Wow! You have created a wonderful property, in an wonderful environment. Well deserved, and honestly it looks like from a fairy tale. 😉 Psst: You should give Ritu the blueprints for the swimming pool. She has a bigger yard now, and now during the holidays it would be time to dig a swimming pool. Lol xx Michael
