About Jennie

I have been teaching preschool for over forty years. This is my passion. I believe that children have a voice, and that is the catalyst to enhance or even change the learning experience. Emergent curriculum opens young minds. It's the little things that happen in the classroom that are most important and exciting. That's what I write about. I was a live guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show. I am highlighted in the seventh edition of Jim Trelease's million-copy bestselling book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" because of my reading to children. My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.

Those are happy kids, enjoying their brief childhood.
    And making memories.
That’s just how it should be. The circle of life continues.
    Best wishes, Pete.

Yes, that’s how it should be. And may the Naomi’s of the world bring happiness to children. Happiness breeds happiness. When it comes from a teacher, all the better. Best to you, Pete.

This is so touching!! Everyone should keep this mentality and just be happy. But sadly life doesn’t work that. With all the bad things happening in this world it is sometimes hard to find happiness. But do you think there will ever be a time where there will be true peace and happiness?

    • Jennie's avatar Jennie says:

As I have gotten older, I have come to realize that happiness is what we make it. The world will always have bad things happening. Instead of looking at the broad picture, I look at what happens right here, right now. There are always moments of happiness. We just have to pay attention. And guess what? Happiness snowballs. It is catching. If I find happiness, those around me see that, and it rubs off. Thank you, Mackenzie.

That is a great thought! I found a scripture that talks about a future, everlasting happiness. It is at Revelation 21:3,4. It says: “God… will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. Neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Wouldn’t this be a wonderful time?

It sounds wonderful. But they has to be a way we can benefit from this. May I contact you in a week and show you what I found?

  14. The Quest for Happiness is what every single one of us is looking for. I spent some time looking into this and I wrote a book about it ‘”This is Your Quest – Your Mission: To experience Happiness along the way ” – http://www.authorjoannereed.net. Feel free to check it out!
