A violent thunderstorm this evening brought
crackling lightening and booming thunder.
All in a moment, two rainbows appeared.

And then the power of one intensified and literally glowed.
Nature is a wonder.

About Jennie
I have been teaching preschool for over thirty years. This is my passion. I believe that children have a voice, and that is the catalyst to enhance or even change the learning experience. Emergent curriculum opens young minds. It's the little things that happen in the classroom that are most important and exciting. That's what I write about.
I am highlighted in the the new edition of Jim Trelease's bestselling book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" because of my reading to children. My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at both the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, and the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital.
Very true Jennie, nature is a wonder! Have a great Sunday 🙂
Thank you, and enjoy your Sunday!
😊
Beautiful photos!✨✨
Thank you!
Wow! What an amazing sight, Jennie. That’s one of my favorite quotes too. Hugs.
It was amazing. I’m sure the neighbors thought I was a bit crazy running to get the photo. I’m glad you like the quote as much as I do. Thanks, Teagan!
LOL, they were just envious that their cameras weren’t close enough. Hugs.
Haha, and you may be right! Hugs to you, Teagan.
Reblogged this on charles french words reading and writing and commented:
This is beautiful!
Thank you, Charles!
In that quest for inspiration, you can’t do better than look to nature.
Exactly!
Nature is a wonder indeed 🌈💜
😀
There’s magic all around!
Yes! 🙂
Even though the reason for rainbows was explained to me in school almost 60 years ago, they have never lost their magic.
Best wishes, Pete.
You said that so well! Thank you, Pete.
Two rainbows – double the fun. Beautiful!
🌈🌈😀
Jennie…
BTW… Haight Street will be coming to a head by the end of this month. After that…well, we’ll see what comes next.

Thank you, Darlene!
Beautiful and great photod
Thank you!
Double rainbows–an excellent omen. Don’t you feel happy when you can capture one, even if it is only a camera shot?
I really do feel happy. It is so rare and only lasts for a few minutes.
It’s not an easy task to photograph rainbows — they can fade in and out. Fantastic work, Jennie! My Sunday is more beautiful and sparkly; thanks to your photos. 🌈✨
Thank you so much, Rose! Rainbows are only there for a few minutes, so it’s hard to capture. I’m so glad it made you smile! 😀
😊
Excellent post, Jennie. Love the rainbows.
Thank you, John.
🙂
Beautiful!
Thank you, Deborah!
You’re welcome Jennie!
I love your rainbow images. You also used my favorite quote from Ronald Dahl.🌈🌈
I’m so glad, Dayne. Thank you. 😀
Wow, gorgeous rainbow Jennie. It’s good luck to see a rainbow. 🙂
I didn’t know that! Thanks, Debby.
Well I’m not surprised 🙂
Grateful for any storms without hail!
Yes! We don’t get hail very often. It can be dangerous.
Absolutely beautiful, Jennie.
Many thanks!
Wow!
Powerful!
Thanx
Glad you enjoyed that beauty, Ren.
Hear, hear! Roald Dahl got this perfectly right! Beautiful rainbows, Jennie!
He really nailed it. Thanks, Sarah.
