About Jennie

I have been teaching preschool for over forty years. This is my passion. I believe that children have a voice, and that is the catalyst to enhance or even change the learning experience. Emergent curriculum opens young minds. It's the little things that happen in the classroom that are most important and exciting. That's what I write about. I was a live guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show. I am highlighted in the seventh edition of Jim Trelease's million-copy bestselling book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" because of my reading to children. My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.

    Thank you for the reblogging!

  2. If I read these on both sites, I’ll persevere even better. Dr. French has great quotes. 🙂

Until I got the Internet, I never realised that Teddy Roosevelt talked a lot of sense! 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  4. Funny, the Maya Angelou quote is one I use in my ‘Swimming with Swans’ presentation along with a related one by Winston Churchill I’ll quote here as it seems appropriate:
“Success is not final; failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.”

  5. These are all great quotes. Kudos to you and Mr. French both for blogging and reblogging them 😀

What great reminders, Jennie. Thank you for sharing. It was important for me to hear them today. It’s important to hear them everyday.

All three quotes are very useful and so nice of Charles to share them with us, through you!
The Maya Angelou one is the most beautiful and meaningful one to me. It was so true for me, a few times in my life, to rise above adversity.
Hope you had a lovely Mother’s Day and your week began smoothly, Jennie. xo
