It’s been 24 hours since I posted my brief letter to families about inviting Gloria home for a weekend Gloria and the President She is now ‘booked’ through Thanksgiving, including going Trick-Or-Treating and being at Thanksgiving dinner. 24 hours. Bless you, Gloria.

You might be right! I read her journal to the children yesterday, and they were mesmerized (climbing a local mountain, going to the Red Sox parade in Boston, going to Disney on Ice, and more.) They haven’t seed the two earlier journals yet.

I had a feeling her calendar would be filling up fast and I’m glad it has!🥰
I wondered, because this class is young, yet her calendar is filling up fast. Today a parent asked if they could take Gloria Trick-Or-Treating, and I had to tell them she is already going with another family. They were sad. I was, too.
That is a bittersweet problem. 🥰 I hope that family gets to have Gloria for a visit soon, and it’s just as magical or better than Trick-Or-Treating.
I have to remember in these times when I worry that children are very resilient. They don’t hang on to things the way adults do. The child is signed-up to take Gloria home. Even though it’s in early December, that’s okay, because the child knows Gloria will be coming home. Children are our best teachers.
