One Voice

My final thought today on this Fourth of July
is we are one.  No one is alone.  We all work together.
History is filled with these moments
that make me proud to be an American.

About Jennie

I have been teaching preschool for over forty years. This is my passion. I believe that children have a voice, and that is the catalyst to enhance or even change the learning experience. Emergent curriculum opens young minds. It's the little things that happen in the classroom that are most important and exciting. That's what I write about. I was a live guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show. I am highlighted in the seventh edition of Jim Trelease's million-copy bestselling book, "The Read-Aloud Handbook" because of my reading to children. My class has designed quilts that hang as permanent displays at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, the Fisher House at the Boston VA Hospital, and the Massachusetts State House in Boston.

      You are welcome, Beth. This children’s choir is incredible. At school, the children love their My Own Superhero song. I highly recommend it!

    I love One Voice Children’s Choir and am fortunate to own four of their albums. Your choice of “We Are One” is perfect…not only for today but also for every day of the year! I am reminded of some words written in the 1913 book “Crowds : A Moving-Picture 0f Democracy” by Gerald Stanley Lee : “America is a tune. It must be sung together.” Thank-YOU!

      I’m glad you like their wonderful songs! My favorite is “My Own Superhero”, which our school embraced and sang with the children. You are right that “We Are One” is perfect for everyday of the year! I love the words you shared from the book. Thank you!
